I work primarily as an Illustrator for newspapers & magazines , but when the time comes to create images that aren't client driven and for myself, I pick up my camera ( usually a vintage 35mm ) .
The best way to get to know a city intimately is to walk it. Better still, carry a camera and you can unearth it’s soul. I shoot almost exclusively with prime lenses these days, I like the discipline they impose and the quality of the images they produce. A 28mm is my go-to most of the time, but occasionally I take the 50mm out for a spin so it doesn’t feel neglected. The topographical urban landscape of the city is what draws me in, and I’m happy to have it as a muse.
