Suan Lin

It all started when I got a Canon 20D to document my ceramic work. I was a ceramic artist. But what I found out was that I hated shooting "product" type photography. It was much more satisfying shooting people and signs of humanity. Now that I don't have a ceramic studio anymore, photography is serving as a creative outlet for me.

I love film. I've only been shooting film since 2014 so I have a lot to learn. I love the meltingly rich blacks, the glassy depth, the scratchy grainy-ness of film. Besides film has such cool names...Tri-x, Delta, Portra, Neopan, Rollei CN...
