My visual interests span from fashion to abstract expressionism, but the common thread for me is to try and portray a sense of atmosphere, the feeling of dream. I am the opposite of cold precision, the liberating feeling of creating a world different to what surrounds us is what motivates my image making. Perhaps that is why I am addicted to analogue processes, as anyone handling film will tell you, it is the tactile sensation about it that makes it exciting. If opportunity had a smell, it would be that of a freshly opened roll of film. I try to bring a tactile feeling to my images, as hard as that is with a 2 dimentional object, the search to achieve this never stops, maybe, hopefully, because there is no destination.
