Katt Janson Merilo currently lives with her husband and dog in Gig Harbor, Washington, across the Sound from Seattle. Her curiosity in photography began in a college darkroom class in 2007, and her commitment to film solidified during her employment at Blue Moon Camera and Machine in Portland, Oregon as a scanner, C41 developer, marketer, and blog writer. She currently still writes for Blue Moon, and teaches Special Education to support her film habit.
Some of her film photography related writings have appeared on the Blue Moon Camera, Film Shooters Collective, and One Twelve Publishing blogs. Her photography has appeared on the cover of OPB Primetime magazine and hung in Portland, St. Louis, Chicago, Barcelona, and Prague.
